Description:
This is a fun activity to help develop pupils' understanding of habitats. Simple feedback is provided to encourage the pupil to talk about their choices.
Resource Support Notes:
This is a fun activity to help develop pupils' understanding of habitats.

There are 3 levels to the activity. Level 1 is a drag and drop exercise where the pupil tries to match the animal to its habitat. Simple, fun feedback is provided to encourage the pupil to talk about their choices.

Level 2 displays a partially hidden animal in its habitat. The pupil drags the picture of the animal they think it might be into the habitat. Again, feedback is provided. If the pupil's choice is incorrect then a little more of the hidden animal is shown as a clue to the correct answer.

Level 3 replaces the pictures of the animals with words. Once again, the activity is based on drag and drop interactivity.

Sounds have been used for all levels to make the activity more engaging. They also help to reinforce the words when the pupil works at Level 3.

Throughout the activity encourage the pupils to talk about what they are doing and to discuss the choices that they make.
