Facebook has announced its new "Groups for Schools". They state it will make it "easier for you to share and keep in touch with your classmates, friends and everyone else at your school."

When you join a group within the school community, you can share files, create events, message other members and stay up-to-date on what's happening. Only students and staff with an active school email address can join groups for their school.

Groups for Schools will gradually be rolling out to schools, colleges and universities around the world. You can sign up to find out when it will be available at your school.
