This series of activities is presented to demonstrate the latest technologies available to Birmingham schools.

The Depict Project uses an integrated approach to laptop, Internet and mobile phone technology to allow pupils to visit a remote location (in this instance the Botanical Gardens) and feedback live data transmissions, via the Internet, to the classroom. Interactivity is possible through a two-way communication, with pupils in the classroom able to 'direct' the action at the remote site.

Although the Depict Project is in its infancy the activity demonstrates the potential for this form of communication and gives a flavour of things to come.
