Practical content agreed in new Languages, Humanities and Science Diplomas
Practical content agreed in new Languages, Humanities and Science Diplomas

According to the agreed proposed content of the new 'Phase 4' Diplomas, recently published for consultation, students of the Diplomas will learn how to:

  • take part in business meetings in a foreign language after learning the basic language skills
  • create a conservation recycling scheme and examine its environmental impact after learning how species interact and ecosystems change
  • get involved in a local policy issue such as new hospital development and understand the process and the impact

The combination of knowledge, skills and of the subjects, alongside real life, hands-on applications is expected to be very popular with students. The programmes are to be available from 2011.
