Black History Calendar Database of entries
Black History Calendar Database of entries

The Black History Roadshow calendar has information about African, African-Caribbean and Asian people past and present in British history and society. This database will hopefully enable young people to carry out independent enquiry work on individuals mentioned in this calendar.

Each entry, where possible, includes the date of birth or a special event, or anniversary of death, plus country of birth and heritage as well as their contribution. These contributions have been put into the following categories: Art and design; Business and industry; Entertainment; Journalism and media; Literature; Music; Other; Politics; Sports; World War I and II. Using the auto- filter, the database may be used to undertake searches, e.g. by gender, heritage or category.
