Resource Support Notes:
Zip is a bee who likes to travel around, finding out about things. He really knows his stuff when it comes to plants and his favourite drink - Nectar.

On the contents page (which looks like a large flower), each petal takes you to a different part of the activity.

Parts of the plant - Looks at the flower, roots and leaves.
Growth of a plant - Looks at the plant growth cycle. Use the stop and play buttons to focus on the text with the pupils.
Pollination - What pollen looks like and how flowers create new plants (basic)
Links to plant web sites - A range of sites that all have plant related things on them. Some are designed for revision for SAT's others are for printable worksheets.
Activities - Simple activities that could be done in the home by the children themselves.
Zip's Challenge - The answers to this quiz are all within the activity somewhere. This can be a useful quick revision task, which can make the student think about more than just the obvious answers. It is useful to get the children to note that some questions have more than one answer and all must be selected before it is deemed correct.

This activity will only take most pupils 15 mins to cover, but is designed to be used as either an introductory activity or revision activity. It covers main points for SAT revision. Some of the linked web pages provide further scope for this topic.
