Description:
This is an investigation into the final movements of a student whose body was found by the side of a road. This activity was developed and designed to be used at Kings Norton CLC as a teaching and learning resource. To book a session at Kings Norton CLC please phone 0121 694 5787.
Resource Support Notes:
This activity is designed to give students the opportunity to develop their thinking skills via detective work. A young man is discovered lying in a ditch. He dies without regaining consciousness. It is the job of the police - and the students - to discover who he is and what happened to him by examining the contents of his wallet.

For younger pupils, the evidence can be examined in a group via an interactive whiteboard.

A timetable sheet is included so that his movements can be reconstructed. Students should produce their own theory based on all the evidence and this could be done using the PowerPoint template which has been provided, though other methods could be used. The activity lends itself very to group work.

Supporting worksheets together with the educational notes can be downloaded from the activity.
