CBCU recruits B&Q for its latest Learning Destination
CBCU recruits B&Q for its latest Learning Destination

CBCU is pleased to announce that students can now benefit from learning new skills at the DIY chain, B&Q.

At Kids Can Do It classes, students aged 7-11 - accompanied by a parent or guardian - can work under the guidance of DIY experts to make a variety of items. This includes nesting boxes, CD storage box or a toolbox.

By engaging in this process, the students will learn new skills such as sawing, drilling, gluing and nailing. Students will be able to take their work home. The hour taken in the task can be added to the record in the CU passports.

Classes last about an hour at local participating stores in and around Birmingham: Erdington, Halesowen and Wednesbury. More details on the web site at: www.diy.com.

There is also a free online DIY resource for young people. CBCU schools are also entitled to ask for materials donated through the Waste Donation Scheme.
