This activity can be used to create multiple choice quizzes in one of several European languages on the subject area of your choice. The quiz, once created, can be saved as a permanent resource on your hard drive or submitted to the BGfL to share. |
This activity can create multiple-choice quizzes quickly and simply. You
can type in up to ten questions, each with up to four multiple-choice answers.
Each question can be supported by a link to a web page, image or sound on the
World Wide Web. You select the topic and subject of the questions, meaning that
the quiz creator can be used for any area of teaching and learning.
The
Quiz Creator also supports different languages, selected from several common
European languages. This can be used to write quizzes in these different
languages or to help support language teaching.
After creation, the quiz
can be saved to your hard drive or a floppy disk. It can then be accessed,
off-line, at any time. Additionally, this quiz file can be e-mailed as an
attachment for others to use.
If you want to submit your finished quiz
as an activity to the BGfL then e-mail it as an attachment to quiz@bgfl.org for inclusion on the
Birmingham Grid for Learning.
The Quiz Creator is easy to use and
self-explanatory although to assist you there is a '?' button which, will open
up more help and provides guidance through all the stages of quiz creation.
The purpose of the Quiz Creator is to allow teachers and pupils to
create quizzes either as extension, assessment or just plain fun activities. For
example, a quick and simple quiz can be developed for use during Numeracy Hour
(mental maths) or a more thought provoking quiz could be designed which
underpins or extends learning as part of a topic such as scientific concepts
relating to materials and their properties - the choice is yours!
You
will be able to select from 2, 3 or 4 choices for each answer with a maximum of
10 questions per quiz. This will allow a little flexibility when making quizzes
either age or ability appropriate.
As the Quiz Creator is open-ended,
each time you make and save a quiz you are creating a permanent resource to
support you in your teaching. By e-mailing your quizzes to the BGfL other
teachers and children will be able to share in this growing resource which will
benefit the whole of the learning community.
Pupil Notes This activity allows you to create your own on-line
quizzes in one of several European languages. You can save your completed
quizzes to play off-line and then e-mail them, as attachments, to your friends
and family. You can even e-mail your quiz to the BGfL for others to play.
