Educational and Behavioural Difficulties support

The Virtual Teacher Centre holds a SEN forum where teachers can exchange news, views and provide advice and guidance for EBD educational issues.

The DfES web site has report updates to their 'Meeting Special Educational Needs: A programme of action' documents which takes into account recent issues relating to EBD. For a more detailed list of documents and resources then the Government's 'Inclusion' site is a useful starting point.

For teachers or professionals involved with the educational provision for pupils with EBD the University of Birmingham runs a distance learning programme The aim of this course is to enhance skills, knowledge and understanding in meeting the special educational needs of young people experiencing emotional and behaviour difficulties.

The Current National Initiatives For Working With EBD Children In The Mainstream Classroom holds a wealth of information aimed at supporting teachers in identifying behaviour patterns, indicators and intervention strategies.
