App of the week - LHSee
App of the week - LHSee

LHSee is a free Android app providing real-time information for the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, Geneva.

Scientists at the world's biggest scientific experiment are trying to answer fundamental questions about the nature of the universe, the origin of mass, and structure of space and time. LHSee makes the Hadron Collider accessible to anybody with an Android smartphone or tablet PC.

For the first time you can now grab live collision events from the underground detectors in Geneva, and beam them direct to your own device. As well as a variety of educational resources, the application allows you to interact with the collision events in full 3D graphics.

Recommended by Ben Challands, Link2ICT.

BGfL will be featuring an app each week which can expand the teaching and learning experience. We want to provide guidance on the use of mobile apps and touch technology - so as well as the use of iPhone/iPad apps, we are keen to share Android apps available for you to use.

If you have an app you wish to recommend, then let us know.
