Another project, soon to be trialled, aims to enhance and develop
this theme in a slightly different way.
Picture this. A child, wearing a baseball cap. Attached to the
cap is a tiny camera. An ear piece and microphone are also attached.
A thin wire connects the cap to a small box attached to a belt the
child is wearing. The small box is a radio transmitter with a 2
mile line of site range, sending data back to some black box in
the Botanical Gardens Study Centre. The child is able to wander
freely around the Botanical Gardens capturing data that his school
are asking for. The capture of data is real time. The video images
are real time. The communication is real time. Watch this space!!!!
