The site not only supports
the teaching of the national Transition Unit Authors
and Texts by offering a range of practical, interactive
ideas for lessons, but also provides a collection
of worksheets designed to scaffold pupils work
as they write entries for their Reading Journals.
In addition, the site offers a selection of generic
worksheets that can be used to develop reader
response whatever book or story pupils are studying.

On … provides a resource for teachers of English
in primary and secondary schools. Its prime purpose is
to support continuity and progression in literacy as pupils
