Scientific report on the body found at Tollund on May 8 1950
| Date of Burial | The body was lying on peat dated at 2,000 years old |
| Age | He must have been at least 20 because his wisdom teeth had grown |
| State of the Body | He was lying on his right side, wearing only an ancient leather cap and a leather belt. X-rays showed he was in good health. |
| Injuries | There was a rope around his neck which had left clear marks under the chin and at the sides of the neck where the knot was. |
| Stomach Contents | His last meal had been eaten 12-24 hours before his death. It was a soup made from spring seeds such as barley, knotweed and camomile. Some of these seeds were not easy to find so they must have been specially collected. |
