| Monday |
On Monday I came to work and it was the first time I’d been in the new side of the building as before when I came at Christmas, everyone was in the old side of the building. When I first walked into the office I was introduced to a lot of people, then I was taken for my brief introduction about where everything in the office is and health and safety. Once that was over I was taken to where I would be working for the day, which was project management. When I was first introduced the people seemed nice and as the day went on I got to like them more as one of them bought me a star bucks (which I really needed as I was so tired). Up until lunch I was showed what the project managers do and also worked on some stuff that they needed editing. After lunch I went with one of the project managers to a school to check the servers which was fun as we talked in the car about just random stuff lol. Once I had come back to the office I said thanks to the projects managers for showing me around and then I went home and fell asleep in the car because I was worn out. |

| Tuesday |
On Tuesday I didn’t come into work as I spent most of the day in hospital as Monday night I had broken my thumb and by the time I had got out of the hospital it was around almost 1:30 so by the time I'd have got into the office it would've been about 2:30 and I had to go at 4:30. |

| Wednesday |
On Wednesday I came back into work after having the day off on Tuesday. When I got into the office I was offered a coffee by one of the people working by my dad in the office. Once I had drunk my coffee I was introduced to the software development team (web design). For about and hour I sat and listened to once of the students in the web design team talking about what they do and how they do it which was interesting but when I told him that I enjoy using graphics programmes to edit photos he showed me Photoshop and how to use it. After this up until lunch I was taught how to use HTML and the codes used to form different fonts and sizes of the fonts. After lunch I went back to the students and asked him if I could learn more about Photoshop so he showed me the different ways of editing pictures by replacing colours and blending colours to form new pictures. Once he had showed me how to use the software he set me up on a PC and for the rest of the day I was playing on Photoshop editing pictures and changing faces. |

| Thursday |
On Thursday as soon as I came into work I was introduced to Roger the technician who was taking me out of the office to fix a printer in the Brasshouse. When we got there it was all new to me as I had never been there before so I didn't know where I was going and where the printer that needed to be fixed was. So that we could get around the building we needed to sign in as visitors at reception. We had to head downstairs to the data centre which is where the printer was, once we had got there Roger realised that its wasn’t that the printer needed fixing but is was the printer needed to be set up to the computers in the data centre as it was a new printer. After we'd set up the printer there was a new PC that needed to be set up in the central library so we drove to the city centre and picked up some lunch on the way. The computer had replaced a previous PC that had been thrown on the floor and trashed so when we got there we could not see the previous computer as it was in police evidence. When we tried to set up the new PC with an image the software that was used to do this on all the other computers wasn't letting us do this as the new computer was and upgraded model of all the other PC's but once we'd figured this out it wasn't hard to sort the problem out and we had it up and running in no time, After this we headed back off to the office as I needed to be home in time for a guitar lesson.

| Friday |
On Friday I was tired when I got into the office so straight away I went to the canteen and ordered a large sized coffee which was really nice as it had caramel in. Once I had got my drink I walked into the office and was introduced to the BGFL team who showed me what their job is. Almost straight away I was enjoying it as it was the sort of thing that I wanted to do when I left school. After the introduction I was told to design a quiz that would be shown on the bgfl website next week, the quiz had to be, one for primary school kids and one for secondary school kids, as im in year 10 the secondary question was easy but I had to find something appropriate for primary school aged children which was quite hard until I found cbbc. I managed to finish all my work and published the quiz questions by lunch. After lunch the bgfl team showed me more of what they are working on at the moment and then gave me something fun to do after I'd got another drink from the canteen. Once I'd seen the bgfl team I thought of maybe being a journalist as one of the team members said I could be with my writing skills that I don't even think exist. After I'd finished my work experience in the office I thought about what I wanted to be when I left school a lot more and more as most people in the office seemed like they were enjoying their self’s and I think that what’s I want to do when I start working.
