The Education Department generates a wide range of activities, from one-off workshops to specially designed projects providing access to the Company for individuals and groups from all walks of life. The work is designed to stimulate and develop an understanding of the performing arts, in particular dance, music and design.
Throughout the year the department runs projects within Birmingham and on tour. These can include a wide range of activities, from creative dance and design workshops to music composition classes and lecture-demonstrations, in venues as diverse as schools, hospitals, community centres and workplaces.
RSPB
The RSPB at Sandwell Valley
Just outside Birmingham and close to the M6, Sandwell Valley is enjoyable for all the family. In summer birds breeding around the marsh, lake and wader scrape range from wading birds such as little ringed plovers to ducks and songbirds such as whitethroats. Other birds visit on migration and in winter, ducks and waders find refuge. Find out more at the RSPB site.
