Teaching Primary Languages as a non-specialist primary teacher can be challenging, but very enjoyable for both teacher and pupil. Working with various primary schools across Birmingham the feedback is that one of the key issues for primary class teachers is pronunciation.
To assist class teachers with the delivery of Primary Languages, native or fluent speakers have recorded audio files for the core vocabulary in the QCA units for both French and Spanish.
The QCA units are often used as a basis for the language coverage in a variety of published schemes, for those schools using a published scheme.
