From 12 November until 23 December 2009, the Frankfurt Christmas Market is back in Birmingham!
With its authentic stalls, products, food and drink, there is something for everyone. Children, be they younger or older, will particularly enjoy the market with its characteristic smells, its carousel and helter-skelter.
Moreover, the market and its context offer a lot of things to learn from. With its School Activity Packs designed for primary, secondary and special schools, the Regional, European & International Division of Birmingham City Council provides schools who want to visit the market with learning material on German Christmas markets and traditions.
The three packs include activities which can be done in the classroom or on the market itself. Teachers can, of course, pick different activities from all three packs. They offer a range of high quality resources for Art, English, D&T (recipes), Geography, local History and Citizenship.
