I heard a beautiful song on a cd that included a lot of Gilberto, Jobim, Getz, etc. At first it sounds like a symphony, with a strong violin line. 1/2 way through, the theme repeats, but in jazz style- the main line taken up by sax or clarinet.

Thanks for this, although I m not quite sure what your question is! I think that your question was just too many characters long and the end got chopped off. I say thanks, because when I look into answering questions, I get to find out about loads of artists and genres that I would not usually listen to. I don t know much about Jobim, Getz and Gilberto, but after doing a little bit of research I think I will definitely be buying some! There are links below to informative sites about Jobim and Gilberto. You can read more about Getz at www.thejazzfiles.com/JazzGetz.html. I guess you were wondering if I could identify the song? Well, I don t think I can at the moment, but may be able to after a little bit more listening!  Resubmit a shorter version of your question if you want me to have another go.
