The Programme

The programme aims to support schools by engaging their school community in healthy, active lifestyles and to act as a model for others.

Selected schools will take part in the programme for a period of four terms.  During this time they will receive support to plan and implement the programme to suit their particular circumstances.

A key element is to introduce the programme in such a way that practices and activities become embedded in school life; the whole school community develops a healthy lifestyle that becomes sustainable. Throughout the programme schools will be guided through a process designed to encourage this.
