A website dedicated to musicians from Brazil, Cuba, Ethiopa, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, the United Kingdom and the United States.  
Resource Support Notes:

Musicians on this website include  Eleanor Alberga (b. 1949), John Blanke (16th century), Bridgetower, George Augustus Polgreen  

(c. 1780-1860), a violinist who accompanied Beethoven, Carlos Gomes, Antonio  (1836-1896):  Brazilian Opera Composer, Joplin, Scott  (1868-1917):  King of Ragtime, Wiggins, Thomas, 'Blind Tom'  (1849-1908): Blind Slave Composer & Pianist. There are violinists and conductors of African descent as well as a list if useful links. There are also CDs of the music listed and in the Teacher s Guide you can hear two pieces of music, one by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and one by Chevalier de Saint-Georges.
